That last meeting with her twin sister was still fresh in Igen's mind. She and her sister were running around playing with unloaded burnt out blasters and had found a metal stick in discarded the swamps. Igen had asked her mother what it was and her mother had told her, "It is a magical wand. Great magicians use them to fight evil Sorcerers to keep peace alive in the galaxy."
Igen and her sister Kiyuu didn't know it, but their mother had just told them of Jedi and Sith. She had supplemented certain truths and disguised it as a fairy story in case their owner overheard her teaching her children to dream of such things (in her opinion, dreams could be dangerous).
Igen and Kiyuu listened to their mother's stories long into the night, not knowing that they would not again meet until a time of freedom for both of them.
The next day was just a mere blur in Igen's memory. She remembered being taken abroad her owner's ship as her cup bearer, and that she had been set free because the ship had somehow ended up in Republic space. She had been taken away and during a temporary stop on Coruscant. A Jedi noticed her as having powers; she suddenly found herself being tested and accepted to become a Jedi. The Jedi who recognized her powers had been Mace Windu, and Igen had fallen in love with him. This fact had remained the same ever since.
That had been fourteen years ago. Igen was know seventeen, or possibly sixteen or eighteen as she could not remember her birthday. It had been are year since she had completed her Jedi training, and Master Yoda had called her up in front of the Jedi council. Her pet power kitten Seisei Maskua hovered above her. "I hope we get to Coruscant soon, Seisei," she told him. "I am really looking forward to seeing Master Windu."
How did I know you were going to ask that? he asked her with his strange telepathic yet sarcastic tone.
Igen rolled over in her bed with a pained look on her face... mumbling something as her eyes sped around under her loosely-draped eyelids.
Seisei had been watching her as she slept - he didn't need to be telepathic to know what she was dreaming... It had to be the little girl dream again...
He'd considered trying to wake Igen several times, but he knew she'd probably snap at him... She hated being awoken in the middle of the night... He looked at his best friend with concern and sighed...
"...Please help me..."
Igen paced the non-existent floor as usual the little girl was pleading for Igen's help.
"...I need your help... please..."
The little girl's eyes were filling with tears. Igen hated when this happened. It was harder to accept that there was nothing she could do to help the poor girl when she cried.
"...please..."
She asked again, her voice broken with tears. Igen shook her head. "...If only you could tell me who you are," said Igen, voicing her thoughts.
Then something unexpected happened...
"...I am the Lonely Child..."
"What...?" gasped Igen. This definitely hadn't happened before. "...wait, can you tell me how to help you?"
"...I am the Lonely Child... I need your help..."
"...yes, but how can I help you?" urged Igen excitedly.
"...please help me..."
Igen sighed with an almost annoyed tone in her voice. Suddenly everything around her faded to gray.... Igen was waking up.
The sun shone through the windows of the Jedi Temple, and the Room Behind the Waterfall filled with honey-colored morning light. Igen wandered down to the kitchen, where Oola already was sitting with two human girls...
"Morning, Igen," Oola greeted her fellow Twi'lek happily. "Get a good night's sleep?"
"It was fine..." Igen answered. The Dream had not affected her sleep pattern in any way, so she wasn't lying.
"Oh this is Lys and Lysthea, and this is Igen. She's the new girl," Oola told everyone.
"So you're the new Sailor Jedi?" asked Lysthea interestedly.
"Yes. I just found out last night that I was Sailor Toydaria," she answered, nodding, and then added with a yawn, "I haven't used my powers yet, so I don't know their extent."
"Well, we need to go, don't we Lys? We need to get to get some pizza for lunch..." Lysthea added happily.
"Oola, do you want to come?" asked Lys.
"Okay. What about you Igen...?" asked Oola.
"Alright. Why not?" Igen agreed.
"Maybe we could get some hot chocolate?" added Lysthea. Igen grimaced. "You don't like chocolate?" asked Lysthea, reading Igen's statement.
"I don't like drinking Chocolate, I love the eating kind," Igen told her.
They were on their way back from the store when trouble arose. "Yah!" came some voices as three or four children ran across the girl's path. They were being followed by some ugly-as-a-Huty and mean-as-a-Dug monstrosity that was growling loudly.
"Oh great," sighed Oola as the girls sped after the thing. "Time to test those powers, Igen," she added as they entered an empty alleyway.
"Toydaria Force Power Make UP!" Igen called with her new transformer held high above her head. At the same time, the others yelled their henshin phrases. As the light faded, Igen looked down at herself, wondering what her appearance would be.
"ACK!" she cried.
"What?" asked Oola, but when she turned round she couldn't help but begin to giggle.
"Since when do purple and ORANGE go together? If this is supposed to be funny..." cried Igen in dismay.
"Oh come on, Igen-chan, it's not that bad!" added Oola, still giggling.
"I like your boots," put in Lysthea, hoping to make Igen feel better.
"And the way your skin has changed from blue to green is cool too..." added Lys enthusiastically.
"Oh come, let's just go and save those children," Igen grumbled... and they tore off after the youma they'd been chasing.
The youma had chased the children into a corner where the street came to a dead end.
"Hey ugly!" came a voice out of nowhere. "You leave those kids alone or you'll have to answer to me!"
"And who would you be?" asked the youma in a low horse voice.
"I am... the force of liberation... the beauty of hope... and hand of kindness... I am Sailor Toydaria," Igen answered.
"Nice entrance speech, Toydaria," Oola complimented Igen.
"Yeah, really poetic," added Lys. But the youma hadn't noticed this. It was far too busy...
...laughing at Toydaria's fuku.
"Hey Miss Purple and Orange... you really think you can take me?" it laughed. "What ya gonna do, give bad fashion tips and hope I die of embarrassment when I try them out?"
Igen's eyes shortened in anger. "That's it, buddy... EAT LIGTHSABER!" she yelled, attacking the youma with her pink-beamed saber.
Then she started to spin faster and faster. "Lovely Spinning BOMBS!" she yelled, halting on the word 'bombs,' and purple lights flew out of her body and were directed at the youma, tossing it onto the floor.
It pulled itself onto its feet. "Grr... I'm not done yet." It turned towards the children again.... Sensing an oncoming attack, Sailor Broxan leaped between the youma and yelled, "Frozen Ice Wall!" It blocked the large shockwave that the youma had just sent careening towards them...
In the meantime, Lys had used her Passion-Bud Vine Whip to tie up the youma.
"Want to try double-teaming it, Toydaria?" asked Oola.
"Yeah Ryloth, good idea..." she agreed. "On the count of three - ONE, TWO, THREE!"
"Lovely Spinning..."
"Crescent Headpiece..."
"...BOMBS!"
"...SLASH!"
When the light of their combined attack faded all that was left of the youma was pile of dust... but standing on a balcony high above them a dark figure was watching them...
"Well, she has passed the first test," it told itself, "but she is nowhere near ready to be a worthy adversary..."
