This journal was kept by NYU junior Lauren Kent in January 2003 during a nine-day trip to Ghana with the school's Gallatin Scholars group. The organization travels internationally each winter to foster global cultural understanding.
The writing contained herein represents all of Lauren's journaling during the trip. Thus, some of it is personal; some mundane; some will make sense to no one but her. The photographs and videos were also taken while abroad.
